| Job Description: |
TechOrix PTY LTD. is looking to hire a skilled WordPress developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites.
- You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
- Being a WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience developing fully customized WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience developing pixel perfect responsive websites from PSD.
- Strong understanding of PHP/MySQL.
- Knowledge in custom plugins development from scratch & custom templating and custom post type integration/custom fields integration.
- Expert hands-on knowledge of front-end development including *HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript including frameworks such as jQuery, Foundation or Bootstrap
- Understanding of cross-browser/device development techniques.
- Analyze business requirements and advise on the best way to implement them in WordPress.
- Troubleshooting WordPress website issues and able to perform maintenance on existing WordPress Websites.
- Technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimizing site for maximum speed and scalability
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Expertise with architectural changes and complex customizations.
- Investigate issues and find solutions to complex problems.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices a plus.
- Payment Gateway integration e.g. stripe, paypal, local banks
- WooCommerce complete customization with code.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
- Communicating with team lead and participating in discussions with clients to understand website design and functional requirements.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Testing and deploying websites to live environments and working between staging and live environments.
- Experience in the development of WP plugins and themes is a MUST and have had developed at least 5 plugins and themes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Shopify is a Plus.
