We, KSM food traders working in the field from the past 20 years, providing quality food to restaurants all over the UK. We are expanding our business to the next level and require a Fleet Manager. We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual with a positive attitude and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.

Day-to-day responsibilities might include:

·         Organizing replacements of drivers and vehicles.

·         Scheduling the operations of the fleet.

·         Keeping employees informed about their fleet programs and progress.

·         Ensuring that vehicles are kept securely when not being used.

·         Managing and keep the clients update about deliveries whenever required.

·         Analyzing fleet data using computer software.

·         To confer with various departments regarding the needs and issues of vehicles that need to be addressed and ensure timely resolution of relevant conflicts and make sure that the vehicles are maintained and that they are operating properly.

·         Work closely with the maintenance suppliers to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance.

·         To maintain statistical reports, files and relevant records related to maintenance, repairs, depreciation, mileage, etc.

·         Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with internal and external parties including contractors and suppliers.

·         Responsible for own health and safety and adhering to company policy and procedures.

·         Responsible for ongoing personal development to assist the business.

·         Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

·         Assess driving skills of vehicles operators.

·         Ensure that operators of vehicles and equipment in the fleet receive proper instruction and refresher training needed to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to or misuse of vehicles and equipment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Good communication skills with demonstrated ability to liaise and deal with people at all levels both internal and external to the business.
• Technically competent and computer literate, must be proficient in using Microsoft programs specially MS Excel.
• Highly organized individual with the ability to work under pressure and to act decisively in an environment of changing priorities.
• High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
• Flexible in working hours and requirements i.e. work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Education and Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing fleet logistics or general transportation. Relevant qualifications such as any Diploma in Fleet Management would be a plus. Must have previous management or supervisory experience.
