We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager Production to oversee UPVC pipe manufacturing operations at our state-of-the-art facility. You will ensure efficient production processes, strict quality compliance, cost optimization, and team leadership to meet production targets. Your expertise in polymer extrusion, process troubleshooting, and lean manufacturing will drive operational excellence in our UPVC pipe division.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management:

Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of UPVC pipes (various diameters, pressure classes).

Monitor extrusion lines, calibration, cooling, haul-offs, and cutting processes.

2. Process Optimization:

Optimize extrusion parameters (temperature profiles, screw speed, die settings) to reduce waste and enhance output.

Drive initiatives to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

3. Team Leadership:

Train, mentor, and supervise shift supervisors, technicians, and operators.

Foster a safety-first culture (PPE, LOTO, hazard awareness).

4. Cost & Inventory Control:

Minimize raw material (PVC resin, stabilizers, additives) and energy consumption.

Manage inventory of dies, fittings, and production tools.

5. Maintenance Coordination:

Collaborate with maintenance teams for preventive upkeep of extruders, dies, and downstream equipment.

6. Reporting:

Analyze production data, prepare daily/weekly reports (yield, downtime, rejection rates), and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.E. in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical, or Production Engineering.

Experience:

03 to 04+ years in UPVC pipe manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
